Dr. Ellen Handler Spitz, Honors College Professor of Visual Arts, will lecture at Harvard University at the Fogg-Sackler Art Museums on the subject of The Art Museum and Medical Education. Her lecture, which is part of an interdisciplinary dialogue involving museum educators and the medical community, will take place on November 6 in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Spitz has published extensively on the relations between the arts and psychology, writes a quarterly column, Apropos the Arts for the Johns Hopkins-based journal, American Imago, and has completed a new book, Art's Wisdom (forthcoming, University of Michigan Press-Ann Arbor).
