Kelley Bell to Speak About Animation Practices

Professor Kelley Bell will be speaking at American University as part of a panel of women in the DC area who currently work in animation and Motion Graphics on March 29.

In honor of Women's history month, Animator's Roundtable will feature four women animators from the DC/VA/MD area. The four women will show samples of their work and discuss how they approach animation from business to aesthetics.

Kelley Bell is a local animator and professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Kelley's animations have been screened locally and as far away as Berlin, Germany. Screenings include the American Visionary Arts Museum, the Annapolis Film Festival, The Transmodern Arts Festival, and the University of Maryland College Park. She was a recipient of the Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award in 2004, and a semifinalist for the Sondheim Art Prize in 2010.
