Alum Phil Davis, IMDA '07, curated Sweaty Eyeballs, a festival of independent, international short animated films. Of special interest to UMBC audiences is a short animation by UMBC Visual Arts Professor Eric Dyer. Sweaty Eyeballs is the brainchild of Phil Davis and is currently in its second year. This screening is presented by the Maryland Film Festival, MICA, and the College of Fine Arts and Communication at Towson University.

The eccentric shorts curated for the screening cover an array of genres and styles including narrative, experimental, and music video. The screening includes animators from France, USA, Switzerland, Norway, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, and Germany. The screening will also offer the audience a chance to vote for their favorite film to win the Audience Choice Award.
