Professor Lisa Moren and IMDA graduate candidate Jason Hughes visited the Fab Lab at the CCBC Catonsville campus, and are featured in a recent Baltimore Sun article.

IMDA faculty and graduate students are becoming versed in the new world of digital design and fabrication. The Catonsville campus of CCBC has a state of the art fabrication lab, or fab lab, which includes various large scale 3D scanners, 3D printers, cnc routers, laser cutters and other prototyping equipment. Using advanced 3D software, students are able to design practically any product, and produce a full scale prototype for art, production or personal enjoyment. Artists, inventors and tinkerers are encouraged to use the equipment, after taking a basic class in the use of the software and equipment. More information on the CCBC Fab Lab is available on the web at http://www.time-center.org/fablab/
