Opportunities and Choices
At UMBC, students are presented with a wide range of on-going opportunities to develop their arts career skills. Students make critical choices regarding their commitment to future success in the arts community. They may choose to:
- Attend world-class exhibitions and analyze work by featured artists at the UMBC Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture (CADVC) and the Albin O. Kuhn Library Gallery.
- Exhibit their own work at the CADVC in the Senior Exit Show
- Attend Visiting Artists lectures and presentations to learn about art practices and career strategies.
- Work with the UMBC Shriver Center to identify and obtain an internship at area firms and companies in design, photography, Film/Video, and other and related disciplines.
- Work on professional 3D animation and interactive projects and to develop a portfolio of work through the Imaging Research Center (IRC) Student Internship Program.
