Photographer Lynne Cohen examines the impersonal artifacts of institutional interiors, including spaces as disparate as a health spa and a military training center. Devoid of people, her images are at once humorous and unsettling.
Lynne's work has been the topic of three books. The most recent, No Man's Land: The Photography of Lynne Cohen was published last month. This monograph was published in conjunction with her forthcoming retrospective exhibition organized by the National Gallery of Canada and Muse de L'Elyse, Switzerland.
She has had one-person shows in major centers in North America and Europe from 1971 to the present.
