Matteo Federico Bologna, Roberto De Vicq De Cumptich,
and Will Staehle
Matteo Federico Bologna founded Mucca Design, a company involved in logos, type, and corporate identity. Bologna is the art director for Rizzoli Libri and BUR in Milan as well as for three imprints of HarperCollins in New York. He teaches font design at the Parsons School of Design in New York. In his spare time he designs typefaces.
Roberto de Vicq de Cumptich attended the Pratt Institute on a painting scholarship. He is currently VP/Senior Art Director at HarperCollins, where he is responsible for 1,500 titles annually, of which he personally designs close to 200. In 1999, de Vicq created Bembo's Zoo as a Christmas gift for his daughter Viva—a story featuring a menagerie of animals made from Bembo type characters. The book was subsequently published, inspiring de Vicq and Bologna to collaborate on an animated Web site to promote it, Bembo's Zoo.
Will Staehle graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and now operates the commercial design studio LONEWOLFBLACKSHEEP. In addition to his jacket design work, he creates stylized posters and comics.
