Kelley Yang is a new member of the Visual Arts Department at UMBC. She is a dedicated advisor for the visual arts students and supports the department in many areas.
After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree, Kelley served as an AmeriCorps member in Baltimore City where she worked in community arts throughout the city. From there she transitioned into the classroom and taught visual arts for many years with an emphasis on making an art practice accessible to all learners. During that time, she continued her studies and pursued an M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins with a focus on museum education and audience evaluation.
Kelley Yang received her B.A. in Studio Arts from the University of Richmond, B.A. in Art Education from Towson University, and M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
